I want to receive feedback by : comment on this post or on AO3.

Here are the works I want feedback on: any fic on my AO3.

My works' fandoms and content notes are: Mostly small fandoms. Content warnings can be found in tags or notes. For book-based fics, I tend to follow the book's writing style, so some of them are deliberately flowery.

I have these questions for readers:
  • Repetitive stuff: do you notice any sentence structure/tics/tropes or anything else that I repeat, whether inside one fic or across different fics?
  • Any suggestions on what I could have done differently? Different directions, alternate POV, etc.
  • Do I explain things enough? Give enough context? Too obvious, too vague?
  • If you're familiar with any of the fandoms: are the characters in-character?
  • Anything else that comes to mind as you read!

The style of feedback I prefer to receive is
: I don't mind direct feedback, but please also tell me what I got right so I can keep doing it.

I want to receive feedback by : Posting a comment here. The small fic collection you can post comments on the work itself if you'd like, but everything else I'd rather get feedback posted here.

Here are the works I want feedback on: Anything that's on my account.

My works' fandoms and content notes are: Small fandoms, mostly! I have works for Long Live the Queen, Stardew Valley, Final Fantasy II, and Golden Sun. All warnings should be listed in the tags.

I have these questions for readers:
  • If you know the fandom, did you think the characters were in-character and/or the themes went well with the canon?
  • Did the story flow well?
  • Did the characters, their motivations, and any growth seem believable to you?
  • Does anything seem vague or unexplained to the point of being confusing?
  • Did anything seem out of place, handled poorly, or take you out of the story?
  • Overall, did you enjoy the work?

The style of feedback I prefer to receive is: Any and all impressions for writing or art. Feedback about SPAG or style is welcome, too. Don't be afraid to be direct if something doesn't work for you, but I do need to hear specifics about why it didn't.

Comments to this post will be: Screened.

Thank you for your time!

Concrit for egelantier

I want to receive feedback by: Comments on the published fics are the best, but if you prefer to be more private, the mods have my email, and my discord handle is egelantier#0472.

Here are the works I want feedback on: anything on [archiveofourown.org profile] egelantier is good to go!

There are several recent fics that are out of my usual wheelhouse and so I'd be very interested in feedback on them, but honestly anything goes, regardless of posting year:

give us a little love (TGE, Maia/Csethiro arranged marriage canon divergence AU)
create in me a clean heart (VME, fairly graphic hurt/comfort fic with crucifixion)
the rivers of the sky are dry (Narnia, ensemble)
lead me down to the dusty garden (FFXV, fairly graphic whump)

I have these questions for readers:
- If somebody's read my earlier fics, I would really love to know if there's a visible change/progress in my writing over the years.
- The other question I'm burningly curious about is whether the stories in different fandoms feel samey because my writing 'voice' - the cadence, the word choices, et cetera - overwhelms setting/characterization differences.
- Is there a stylistic quirk / repeated pattern that feels really visible to you, in an inorganic way?

The style of feedback I prefer to receive is: Pretty much everything goes, including SPAG and stylistic, sentence-by-sentence feedback. I'm ESL, and I would be grateful for any comments here (I'm endlessly beholden to my betas for saving the readers from the worst of my comma and semicolon sins before they see the light of the day, but...).
It's fine to be blunt as long as there's an elaboration on what didn't/did work for you.
