Thank you so much! There are a lot of helpful things here, and I especially appreciate the characterization-related comments on Jaskier's actions, because I never feel like I quite have his character pinned down. I also really appreciate your critiques of the plot - I tend to let the tropes run away with me at the expense of setting/probability, so it's helpful to see your ideas on how to better fit the plot events to the canon setting.
